Who is Alchemy Roast?

Alchemy Roast is an organic coffee roasting organization currently located in Metro-Phoenix. They specialize in the art of coffee, from bean to cup.  The business was founded by Jake Kilian and Holly Cavanaugh in 2016. They began their journey from a place of general curiosity for quality, ethical coffee. From the start they have been sourcing and roasting coffee beans from small family owned coffee farms all over the world that have held the tradition and produce a quality crop. They found that as their love for coffee grew so did that of their customers and the communities they share their goods with. They started the business as a passion project and this has since evolved into a growing coffee roastery.

Presently, you can find Alchemy Roast coffee at various coffee shops and markets around the valley, local events and music festivals, and 3 farmers markets every weekend with their coffee carts. Alchemy Roast has built a reputation of having great tasting, organic coffee beans, drinks and teas. People travel from far and wide to pick up their favorite bag and grab a drink from one of their pop up locations. 

Holly & Jake have dedicated their lives to the craft of producing a quality cup of coffee. They integrate what they learn from working with each roast and the feedback of their customers. Food and drink is such a staple in this human experience of life. It is creating that experience for others that motivates Alchemy Roast. Each roast has a story that goes far beyond the cup and it our mission to tell that story. The earth that the beans are grown on. The culture of the community that grew the coffee. The hands that picked the bean. It all matters when it comes to quality of the cup.  

Alchemy Roast is highly involved with the local community. Engaging in local events and gatherings is what Alchemy Roast Coffee is all about. Coffee and community go together to influence the culture of an area. Jake & Holly live in Tempe and are deeply rooted in being part of the community. In opening their first cafe, they intend to create a warm and inviting space where all can gather. There is space for all at Alchemy Roast.
